CD14: I'll Take What I Can Get

18 mm on the left. It grew 2 mm at least.

And Dr. I-Don't-Want-to-Be-Here-on-a-Saturday did say I had some smaller follies. Not big enough to matter, but at least they exist.

Back for another u/s on Monday and OPKs till then.

Lo and I discussed and rubber-stamped a plan. All of you who said that having a plan is key are totally right.

The plan is for me to do 6 IUIs total and then we'll stop and reassess. The tries need not be consecutive, if I need a month off here or there. I feel better about that. I feel better knowing that if after 6 tries, I want to stop, that's an option. Or if I want to continue, that's possible, too.

A plan definitely keeps you going. Our plan was to do 6 IUI's and then move on to IVF. We had pretty much set our hearts on the IVF working and had most of our hope on that, but then got pregnant on our 5th IUI which felt like a wonderful surprise!

I meant to comment on your last post and life just sucks but I am glad you guys got a plan. Holy shit we are such newbies and one month of TTC was way harder than we expected. While I hope we don't have to go through several attempts, stastically I know that is a probability.

Anyway, all this to say, I hope this cycle works for you. And its great that you are writing it out and talking about it because I am all about spilling the guts. Its good for you.

Being planful while still having the flexibility to allow room for some strategically chosen breaks when necessary seems like a perfectly ideal situation. Excellent!

It is great to have a plan you are both comfortable with. Plans are good. Oh how I hope it works for you soon so you don't have to test your plan. We are approaching our 6 tries limit and will probably extend it, but it sucks to be here.

18 mm is good! If you have a 20 on Monday, will you trigger, or does your RE like to see bigger? Our nurse practitioner triggers when she sees 20, but it will be interesting to see what an RE has to say about that.

Yay for the plan!

breaks can totally save you.
not that you will need one or anything...

I'm really glad for you guys. It's really true that you can relax so much more when you have a plan that you are comfortable with. There's none of that day-to-day "oh crap, what do we do now?"
And that sounds like a great plan, imo.
