Last weekend we took Jo to
the zoo. The trip ended up being entirely for our amusement, which maybe some of you could have told us, but it was fun nonetheless. He seemed to notice some of the animals in the barnyard-petting zoo area. (There are several varieties of sheep, a very pushy goat, two standoffish alpacas, and a cow.) I had fun feeding them, in any case. And in our defense we were not the parents shlepping the youngest infant to the zoo

He, I think, had the most playing with the grass in the park on the way to the zoo.
We were delighted to see that the kangaroo's joey -- quite the excitement at ou

r local zoo -- is the same age as Jo!

(Click on the pictures to see larger versions -- the kanga and her baby are extremely cute up close, and you can read the text on the sign.)

No need to defend yourself - We have friends who took their 3 week old baby to that zoo last week. It looks like you guys had a great time.
